When the old, boring, heavy, large and slow cell phones were
released it had only function which was to call one person to another. During
our generation we have seen so many functions from messaging, to face time but
that’s nothing to the future. We may think that what can you add more to the
cell phones we have at the moment, there is a lot of functions you are missing
that are about to come in the future which will blow your minds off.
Now days your current device has a wireless charging
function (QI Technology) which you can charge your phone wirelessly in your
vehicle, home or anywhere you like. In the future you will be able to extend
your battery life or extend your battery by the power of recycling. The new
technology which was launched on kickstarter to raise fund is called RF Energy
Harvesting by Nikola Labs. This technology can save the energy you waste while
talking on the phone, searching the web and doing many more things on your
personal device. This technology works through Radio Wave Frequency which
harvests and converts your Radio Wave Frequency (Bluetooth, WI-FI, or Data) in
DC power Energy. Currently Nikola Labs
only developed a case for IPhone 6 & Samsung Galaxy 6 but in the future the
Antenna will be in every phone to capture your wasted energy (INC, 2015).
Addition to the RF Energy, your future phone will also be
able to produce battery through Solar Power. Solar Power is produced by
collecting Sun Light and converting it in to usable energy, this process is
done by a placing a solar power or an equipment which can capture sun light (Roman, 2015). TagHeur has released a phone called the
Infinite which priced extremely high. This specific phone has the power your
cell phone through Solar Energy. This phone uses Wysips Crystal which places
transparent photovoltaic component between your phone and the screen, this type
of product has thin layer of charging cells when exposed to the sun. This
typical phone will be priced around $7000 but in the future this will be priced
at a regular phone price. It is a function which is really targeted towards the
niche market due to the price, it may be released in 2015 but it is the future
of 2025 as it is not been released to the mass market due to the price (Edwards, 2015).

Currently in the market IPhone 6 and some of the android
phones are running a 64 bit chip set, most of the phones at this time are not
compatible as they are using 32 bit chip and 64 bit is too large. In the near
future all the phones will be compatible with the 64 bit chip set and will be able
perform much better. 64 Bit phones are able to handle more Ram Capacity, which
will result in a much faster phone. The
bran Qualcomm has currently 5 types of 64 bit processors, the Snapdragon 410,
610, 615, 808 and 810 but only three of them are in use. We can expect all of
them to be used in the future and more companies like ARM & Intel will
bring a huge impact on the market (Carlon, 2015)
Designer Lu Yin has introduced a prototype phone which is
called the Relexer Phone. The Relexer phone is capable to work as a medical
gadget to review the health of human being. This phone comes with a bracelet
which can tell your body temperature, and other drastic discrepancies in your
body (Dainis, 2015),
Nokia has also introduced a new phone called the Nokia
Morph. The phone uses nanotechnology to bend, stretch, and self-clean. (Dainis, 2015)
In the near future our phones will be capable of 3D popping
image. The screen will pop out and display a 3D image which we can talk to, we
can do work and many more things. Ostendo Technology has produced something
called Quantum Photonic Imager which can bring out a 3D image in thin air. There
will be a mini projector placed in every phone which project the image in to an
object on your screen. We will be
surrounded by floating screens on our cell phones, it may sound freaky but it
will be awesome as you will be able to play your favorite game much better,
watch your favorite show or your favorite sports (Billington,
2015).
In 2025, individuals will be able to text by thinking. The
cell phones will have a capability of using your thoughts as words. This technology will be used by eye tracking
sensors and wearable device which will capture your thoughts in to words. The headset has brain machine interface which
detects brain waves and converts it in to digital signal (FutureTimeline,
2015).
